No one wants to be the only one in a class, on a team, or around the boardroom table. That's why we create events where girls and women can get together and be a part of something bigger. To find their tribes and build their networks. It doesn't matter if you are 8 or 88, things are always better with friends around you.
TECwomen run a wide variety of events all aimed at inspiring and supporting women and girls in the technology, engineering and creative digital (TEC) sectors. From huge two day family festivals to employer engagement events and girl only careers nights, we know how to create and deliver events that create an impact for thousands of people. But we also know that sometimes, it's the smaller and more focused events that are needed. For us, these look like focused workshops, AI training days, and networking opportunities designed to engage, inspire, and empower. Where Community Meets the Coast
Sea Sessions are coastal meet ups for women, people of underrepresented genders, and allies across tech, engineering, and creative industries in Cornwall.
Sunrise swims, sauna sessions, seasonal dips, and coffee by the sea create space for connection and community outside of traditional networking spaces.
Growing Skills and Networks with UPLIFT
UPLIFT is TECwomen’s flagship adult programme for women and people of underrepresented genders in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who want to upskill, build confidence and grow their digital careers. Our UPLIFT courses provide training, mentoring and networking opportunities to support participants into tech roles or further development pathways. Our courses range from Cyber Security and AI, to trying new digital skills, or creating a new company as a female founder. We also hold networking events, workshops, and employer engagement events.
Inspiring Future Innovators Through TECgirls
Through TECgirls we run a range of festivals, family workshops and school assemblies designed to inspire the next generation of innovators. Through hands-on activities and engaging experiences, TECgirls encourages girls to explore Technology, Engineering and Creativity and see these fields as exciting possibilities for their futures. We also run popular first phone family workshops helping families navigate new devices together exploring topics like the social media ban and emerging AI threats.
